Amchur Ki Chutney

Amchur Ki Chutney is sweet chutney that can be eaten with all kind of Indian snacks like Kachori, Papadi, Samosa etc. Easy to make and can be preserved for a longer time!

Ingredients

    Dry mango powder/ Amchur powder – 1 cup
  • Image
    Sugar – 1.5 cup
  • Image
    Salt, Red chili powder (colored as well as chilly one) – 1 tsp
  • Image
    Rock salt – 1 tsp
  • Image
    Black cardamom seeds – 1 tsp
  • Image
    Raisins – a few (optional)

Method

    Mix amchur powder and water in the ratio of 1:6. Cook the puree for 15-20 min till it thickens. Keep on stirring in between.

    Add sugar to improve the consistency. Further add salt, rock salt, red chilly powders. Cook further till the consistency gets thick just like any other chutney.

    Once ready, few raisins can be added. Cool down the chutney. Once cooled, chutney will get even more thick. Store the chutney in glass container in refrigerator.
