Cinnamon French Toast

    6 slices texas toast, lightly toasted for fresh bread

    ¾ cup warm milk (can also use a mixture of half n half and milk)

    2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Image
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Image
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Image
    2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Image
    2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • Image
    2-3 egg yolks

Method

    Mix warm milk and flour together until the flour is dissolves.
  • Image
    In a small bowl stir together vanilla and cinnamon and add to milk-flour mixture.

    Stir the readied mixture in brown sugar and melted butter.
  • Image
    Add egg yolks and mix them together.
  • Image
    Pour batter into a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  • Image
    Dip both sides of bread until moist but not dripping or completely saturated.
  • Image
    Place bread on a cookie sheet while griddle is heating.
  • Image
    Add butter to griddle and heat over medium heat.
  • Image
    When griddle is hot, place bread on it

    Cook until golden, flip and cook the other side until golden.

    Serve them hot after sprinkling with powdered sugar, whipped butter and hot maple syrup!
