Kala Chana Fruit Salad

Kala chana fruit salad is a healthy recipe for weight-watchers.

Ingredients

    Apple (finely chopped) – 1 bowl

    Small cucumber (finely cut) – 1 bowl

    Pomegranate seeds – 1 bowl

    Thick curd – 1 cup

    Kala chana (soaked overnight in water) – 1 cup

    Roasted peanuts (dehusked and broken) – 3 tbsp

    Salt to taste

    Chaat masala – 1½ tsp
  • Image
    Crushed black pepper – to taste
  • Image
    Honey – 2 tbsp
  • Image
    Cherry – for garnishing

    Mint leaves (chopped) – for garnishing

    Water – 3 cups

Method

  • Image
    Pressure cook the soaked kala chana for up to 8-10 whistles and allow the pressure to settle.

    Once done, add the black chana in a bowl.
  • Image
    Add cucumber and apple into the same bowl.
  • Image
    Add pomegranate seeds and mix well.
  • Image
    Add thick curd and mix well.
  • Image
    Add salt and chaat masala.
  • Image
    Then, add the crushed black pepper and honey.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Add the roasted peanuts just before serving.

    Garnish it with mint leaves and cherry.
