Rajma Masala

Rajma is one of the most common dishes made in a North Indian household. Red kidney beans or Rajma are cooked with warm spices, tomatoes and onions. The long hours of cooking impart a mesmerizing aroma and spell-binding flavour that is irresistible and pleasantly incredible!

    1 tsp chili powder

    4 clove garlic and ginger paste

    1 tsp ginger
  • Image
    4 green chilies
  • Image
    3 tbsp Oil
  • Image
    1 onion finely chopped
  • Image
    1 cup red kidney beans
  • Image
    Salt to taste

    Tomatoes small

Method

    Soak the red kidney beans overnight.
  • Image
    Next day, cook in a pressure cooker.
  • Image
    Heat the oil and fry the onions for 5 minutes. Add ground garam masala, ginger-garlic paste and chili powder and cook again for 3 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes and stir well.

    Add the tomato chopped or paste gr chili to this mixture and cook until well done.
  • Image
    Add this mixture to the boiled kidney beans.

    Add spices as per your choice and salt to taste.

    Cook again till 15 min until the dish is soupy and savory!
