Whole Moong Pancakes

Try these delicious and high-protein pancakes made with Moong Dal and serve them with tomato or green chutney for a spicy twist! It is also diabetic friendly, so you can savor your palates and also have a health breakfast!

Ingredients

    1 cup whole moong dal (green gram) – soaked overnight
  • Image
    1 cup cauliflower – grated
  • Image
    Ginger
  • Image
    Green chilies
  • Image
    Salt to taste oil (as much as required)
  • For garnish

  • Image
    1-2 roasted green chilies
  • Image
    2-3 curry leaves

    Grated coconut

  • Image
    To avoid the raw taste of ingredients, you can also boil moong dal and cauliflower for 3-4 minutes.

Method

    Wash the whole green moong and soak them in water overnight.
  • Image
    Add ginger and green chilies to the soaked moong and grind them to get a smooth paste.

    Add the cauliflower to the moong paste and salt to taste.
  • Image
    Add a dollop of this mixture to the warm pan and spread it out evenly in a round shape.
  • Image
    Pour oil around the pancake and allow it to cook.
  • Image
    Gently check whether the lower layer of the pancake is brown or not. Once it’s brown in color, gently turn it over.

    Garnish it with slightly roasted green chilies, curry leaves and white coconut.

    The pancakes are ready to be served.
